FOR SPELLING PRACTICE:
Be sure to click the East Lansing School Sitton Spelling link under my Blog Roll. It will give you spelling practice with fun activities!
- Write a short story using as many spelling words as you can.
- Create a cartoon strip using at least eight spelling words.
- Write your spelling words in ABC order.
- Write each spelling word that you missed on the pretest 10 times.
- Write a poem using at least eight spelling words.
- Use graph paper to make a word-search puzzle that contains all of your spelling words.
- Write all of your spelling words in a continuous line to form a picture or a design.
- Draw a picture of ten of your spelling words.
- Divide each spelling word into syllables.
- Write a newspaper article using ten of your spelling words.
- Write a sentence using each of your spelling words.
- Make a crossword puzzle on graph paper that includes all of your spelling words.
- Create a game that can be used to practice your spelling words.
These are some activities I have students choose from in class to help them practice their Spelling words.
